My TEDx talk, “Beyond Assumptions: How Curiosity Can Heal Divides”

Strategy, TEDx, Video
It’s here! My TEDx talk, “Beyond Assumptions: How Curiosity Can Heal Divides,” is now officially live.

“Curiosity isn’t weakness. It’s courage. Especially when it invites us to stay in the conversation, even when it’s hard.”

In a time when so much feels outside of our control, this message feels more urgent than ever. We can’t always shape the headlines, but we can shape our relationships, our workplaces, and our communities, one intentional act at a time.

As leaders, colleagues, and humans navigating complexity, we’re often expected to have answers. But sometimes, the most powerful move we can make is to pause and ask a better question. This talk is my offering to anyone who’s ever wondered how to keep showing up when the divide feels too wide, the conversation too hard, or the stakes too high. Curiosity is not a soft skill; it’s a strategic one. It opens doors, disarms defensiveness, and creates space for truth and transformation.

If you’ve ever struggled with how to lead in uncertain times, how to stay grounded in your values, or how to keep your team connected across differences, this talk is for you. It’s not about perfection. It’s about possibility.

Tell Us Your Story

If you’ve had a chance to watch the TEDx talk, I’d love to hear what emerged for you.  What did it spark? What stayed with you?

We grow stronger as a community when we learn with and from one another. Whether you’re leading a team, navigating a difficult conversation, or simply reflecting on your own growth, I invite you to share your story. You can reply directly to this email or tag me on social media (LinkedIn / Instagram) with your reflections.

If you’re not sure where to begin, here are a few questions to guide your thinking:

At Work:

  • When was the last time I paused to ask a curious question instead of offering a quick solution?
  • Where in my organization are we missing an opportunity to bridge understanding?
  • What assumptions do I or my team tend to make, and how might those be getting in the way of connection or equity?

Personally:

  • Who in my life do I find hard to connect with, and what might I learn if I got curious instead of shutting down?
  • When have I felt truly heard and understood? What made that moment possible?
  • How do I want to show up when conversations get hard?

Your insights, stories, and experiences matter, and they might just inspire someone else to stay curious, too.
